DRAGONS LOUGHTON ESSEX

The owners of this Grade 2 Listed Country Estate were working closely with the Architects, on the design of a contemporary new build home in the grounds of the original house.  Aralia Landscape Architects were intrinsically involved with the Architects on the planning application, providing a Landscape Strategy Document to support the overall planning application for this new build set within a contemporary country garden.  Aralia were commissioned to provide an overall landscape plan, which met the clients brief, but also which would strongly support and assist with the planning submission. 

Privacy was a major issue on the newly created boundary and the Aralia landscape design team designed Pleached hedging and a careful mix of other hedging, interspersed with trees, to provide the client with the necessary privacy that they required for the country garden.  Careful spatial planning was necessary to ensure the main terrace was useable, and that the flow from the interior of the new house out into the garden, would work seamlessly.  Planning has now been received and this project is currently on-going.

Aralia are working as Landscape Architects working within a multi-disciplinary consultant team which included Architects, Structural Engineers, Cost Consultants a range of sub-contractors. Aralia were responsible for concept creation through to design detail.  Aralia also worked closely with the Architects to support the Planning application ensuring this ran smoothly through the planning process.
